A LOVE THAT WAS OURS

A LOVE THAT WAS OURS

by; ©OXYGEN

I’m not crying the skies are doing it for me,
But I do not need the skies to cry for me anymore,
Because I can’t stop the storm that flood my eyes,

When she breaks your heart again,
I won’t be here to pick up the pieces,
You deserve better but, you can’t see that,
A love that was ours

Indeed, I experienced true love,
And it was in fact, like seeing a shooting star for the first time,
It was breathless, perfect and magical,
But sadly, it was also short-lived,

I lost my way all the way to you,
And in you, I found all the way back to me,
Or so I thought.
