Life’s Diary (Episode Ten)

Start From Somewhere
Olayinka Abdurrazzaq

The door of opportunity would never open, unless you push. Whatever one wants to become in this life, one has to start it from somewhere. As yoruba do say, ‘if one doesn’t stand, one will never walk’. This is fact, you will only be able to walk when you stand. Unless you want to remain crawling like Nigeria’s development.

Interestingly, almost all fortunes in the world started with little or nothing and earned everything they own in their current lifetime. Don’t be sleeping at home and be dreaming to become a wealthy as Dangote. Believe me, it is not a nightmare. You have to wake up and start your journey to the promising land.

The fear of failure should not hold you back from trying new things in your life. Because it is an illusory fear that has nothing to do with the reality of your goals. To be sincere, failure is a symptom of getting to the realm of success, and it will definitely keep you strong and firm on your way, no matter how it may be rough and tough. Behold, after hardship, ease follows.

If you want to be a lawyer, doctor, engineer, teacher and others, you.should start doing like them, and carve your path to their ways. If business you want to venture into, start from somewhere.

Robert T. Kiyosaki, as rightly said, in his book—Rich Dad and Poor Dad, that if you want to be selling car in future, start selling toy cars today. You laugh? I did so when I was reading the book. But to be sincere, it is true. When you start selling toy cars today, selling real car tomorrow will not be a novel to you any more.

Undoubtedly, the common denominator of success was that successful people make a habit of doing the things that unsuccessful people don’t like to do. Start today and earn tomorrow. A journey of miles starts with a mile.

Wish you a successful trip.

Keep writing your diary, this ephemeral life will surely vanish.
