What a well written Brief Must Contain- Saheed Afeez Ayinde – Deemlawful

In this case, per AMINA ADAMU AUGIE, j.s.c had painstakingly re echoed what a well written brief should contain in order for the appeal to maintain its credibility

A written brief is so much important that it reveal the parties to litigation of their intentions to approach the court however where this brief has failed to contain what’s necessary, such appeal is like to failed gradually.

A well-written brief should contain a concise statement of facts of a case that are material to the consideration of questions presented for determination by the Court. It should also contain direct, concise and succinct statement of arguments in the Appeal

see S.P.D.C. V. F.B.|.R (1996) 8 NWLR (Pt. 466) 256 and Nwokoro V Onuma (1990) 3 NWLR (Pt. 136) 22, wherein this Court, following the case of Duncan v. Kohler 37, Minn.379, defined a brief thus

A condensed statement of the propositions of law or fact or both, which a party or his counsel wishes to establish at the Appeal; together with the reasons and authorities, which can sustain them.
